Back to the show
Ok, so I wandered off the reservation a bit . . . no, wrong cliche . . . I had my train a bit derailed by myself :/ So, back to the show already in progress. Oh, and a new rule: let's refrain from politics, religion, et al that doesn't relate to poly. While I am always for a good debate regarding my beliefs and opinions, I think we'll leave those to other fora for now.
So what's on the program schedule now? Something completely different, no doubt.
Elle celebrated six months together on the first of the year, which was a bit of an accomplishment for both of us. It's one of the longest relationships I've ever had outside of Nyla, and considering I'm Elle's first (and pretty much only) boyfriend, that's pretty good, too. I'm not sure if it's a good sign - I tend to read it as such - but we've become quite comfortable around one another in a way that's always seemed to me to be reserved for old married couples. It's like when Nyla and I started living together permanently. We really settled into a lifestyle that I don't think many couples ever achieve (Edit: in my experience - in reference to Ms. Cammy). It was surprising and wonderful at the same time. That sort of compatibility is lovely.
Nyla and I have had a few very good conversations over the last few days, and I believe things will adjust accordingly in both of ours lives. Time management seems to have been one of the major issues for everyone, and as I pointed out previously, keeping a schedule and respecting everyone's time is a key element. I think things should be better now that we've solidified that. I also think that there's been some lack of comfortability with expressing opinions at times, which is a bad thing. A poly environment should always allow for open communication - and should always be comfortable enough to allow for that, too. I think there's been a bit of an issue with that, but I believe we're all working to change that, as well.
So we're back to poly now. I haven't much else to say, so I'll end here. Thanks everyone for the support. I added Google Analytics a few days ago and since the 4th, I've had 20 unique visitors. How awesome is that?
