People like to unearth as much as they can about people in the spotlight. It's a bizarre pass-time of the "Western" media. We love to know all sorts of dirty secrets about people, so we can live vicariously through them or chastise from a safe distance.
I stumbled across this preview of a tv show called "Polly and Marie" tonight about a polyamorous couple. I was excited upon hearing about it because anyway we can get the word out there in a positive way is excellent.
After watching it, though, I fear that the creators of this show may have confused polyamory for swinging (see: what seems to be a giant orgy in the video), which might spread more disinformation about polyamory in general.
Being that I talk a lot about them, I figured I'd add them to my blog: Nyla and Elle have both been invited to join me in my thoughts; we'll see what happens :) Besides, I talk a lot about myself, and I'm sure those of you reading this get a little annoyed with it after a while.
So perhaps we'll have a bit more regularity with the postings having three people. I'd love to hear more thoughts on the blog posts and everyone's reactions.
A friend of mine and I had a good chuckle the other night about some humorous news: after having been poly for quite some time, her parents sent her links to the Poly Web Ring (among other sites) because apparently they've been poly for a while, too. We chuckled; then we kind of raised eyebrows at the fact that her parents are in their 40s, and sometimes we just don't want to think about those kinds of things.
